HealthWorks is a team of caring health care professionals that believe in
the importance of affordable, accessible reproductive care. We understand
the importance of treating each patient in a caring and reassuring manner.
Our staff includes well-known Nurse Practioners Cheryl Lewis, April Harris,
Char Sheridan, and Lisa Woodward. We also have several bilingual staff members.

Cynthia Scott, R.N.P.
Cynthia Scott, the co-owner of HealthWorks, has over 30 years of experience
in medicine with more than twenty years in Labor and Delivery and
fourteen years experience in women’s healthcare. She received
her Nurse Practitioner’s certificate from San Jose State and
has since worked in the Labor and Delivery departments of hospitals,
in private physician’s offices, with HMOs and in clinics. Cindy’s
extensive knowledge of women’s health, along with her nurturing
demeanor, make her an outstanding health care provider. In her spare
time Cindy likes to read, knit, garden and do family history research. |

Char Sheridan, R.N.P.
Char Sheridan has had a unique career medicine in that she began specializing
in emergency and critical care after earning her BSN from Cal State
University in Dominguez Hills. After 20 years of working as an emergency
and critical care nurse, Ms. Sheridan decided to pursue a career as
a Nurse Practitioner. She completed her post-graduate training with
the Harbor-UCLA program in women's healthcare and earned an MSN from
Cal State Long Beach. Char enjoys her work and strives to provide
outstanding care to all her patients. |

April Harris, R.N.P.
April Harris is a family nurse practitioner who also enjoys
practicing in the realm of women’s and preventative medicine.
April received her Master’s in nursing from Fresno State University
in 1999. Since then April has worked in a variety of medical settings
including hospitals, clinics and homes. She enjoys an active lifestyle
with her husband, children and pets. |

Cheryl Lewis, R.N.P.
Though Cheryl Lewis has worked primarily in women’s health,
her experience and training in other fields of medicine are far from
limited. Her career began over thirty years ago when she received
a diploma in nursing. Since then, Cheryl has received a Nurse Practitioner’s
certificate from San Jose State and worked in a variety of medical
settings including Labor and Delivery departments, med-surgery wards,
and flight nursing for the Air Force. Cheryl is a reliable person
who likes to make sure her patient’s needs are satisfied. She
enjoys reading, gardening and being outdoors.

Lisa Woodward, R.N.P.
Lisa Woodward has been a Nurse Practitioner for over thirty years.
She has worked in women’s health research, been an administrator
for a large family planning clinic and worked as a provider of health
services in a variety of private and public settings. Lisa received
her R.N. from a small college in Seattle, Washington and her N.P.
certificate at Harbor/UCLA hospital. In her spare time she enjoys
reading, cooking, her family, and her horses.
